Tirzepatide Amount

Starting out with 10 units

Starting out with 10 units

Starting out with 10 units

The starting dose is 10 units on day one. Starting at this dose helps us minimize nausea the first week. On day 4 you will give 15 units for a total of 25 units for the week. Thereafter, you will only dose once a week on the same day of the week as your day one.

Week 2

Starting out with 10 units

Starting out with 10 units

Week 2 we will start you on 25 units. I will give you your dose in units rather than mg because that's the number you'll see on your syringe. You will probably stay at 25 units for 3 weeks or so, depending on your individual response.

Maximum Dose

Starting out with 10 units

Maximum Dose

During the course of the up titration we will change the concentration of the medication so you don't have to give such a big shot. So, because of the concentration change your maintenance dose will be just 60 units. I will send you pictures of each dose when we make a change, so you feel certain you are giving the right dose.

  • If you are unsure that you have drawn up the correct dose, please check with me first.
  • Also, please do not give yourself extra in hopes that you will lose weight faster.
  • A dose that's too large can cause severe nausea and vomiting.
  • It's not a race. If you have success on a lower dose there's no reason to ramp up fast. Each person and each response is different.
